Facebook Live Event - Archaeological Management Plan - May 28 @ 7pm

Bruce County will be hosting an AMP Facebook Live events to help shape and inform these important cultural planning tool. The event will feature staff from Timmins Martelle Heritage Consultants Inc. (TMHC), the award-winning firm that is working on the Cultural Action Plan and Archaeological Management Plan. TMHC principal Dr. Holly Martelle and her colleagues will be providing an update and answering your questions about their consideration of Bruce County’s rich arts, culture, heritage, and archaeological record.

Given the concerns around public engagements and COVID-19 we will be investigating alternative options (i.e. Facebook Live Event - May 27 & 28) in replacement of the scheduled meetings in May.

Live Question & Answer - April 3, 2020 (5pm to 8pm)

With recent events, Bruce County is using an abundance of caution, cancelling archaeological management plan (AMP) and cultural action plan (CAP) public open houses scheduled for March 26 and 27 in Wiarton, Southampton, and Walkerton.

In lieu of these public events, Bruce County invites residents and stakeholders interested in these projects to participate and learn more about these projects using the different pages on this site ("Places", "Ideas", "Q & A" and "Questionnaire"). Share your thoughts, ideas, and experiences with and about Bruce County’s rich arts, culture, and heritage - anytime!

• Ask questions on our Q & A page.

• Tell us about the successes achieved and challenges faced by Bruce County’s Arts, Culture, and Heritage and share ideas about how Bruce County’s cultural sectors can thrive on our Ideas page.

• Participate in our cultural mapping of Bruce County’s cultural places, events and institutions on our Places page (i.e. Cultural Assets map).

• Fill out our Cultural Action Plan questionnaire on our Questionnaire page.

And join us on April 2nd and April 3rd between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm on our Q & A page when we’ll be on-hand conducting a live Q & A, with staff ready to answer your question in real-time. During these events we also encourage participants to visit the Ideas page and Cultural Assets map and help us build these important planning tools.
